Business Interiors, Inc. is a specialized contract furnishings firm representing the finest manufacturers in the contract furnishings industry.  Our commitment to provide quality products to our customers is evidenced by the long list of manufacturers who have chosen Business Interiors, Inc., to represent their products to the marketplace.  Business Interiors, Inc. is the exclusive Knoll and Kimball® Office “Choice” dealer for the state of Alabama.  Knoll and Kimball Office are joined by a list of well over 300 other manufacturers that offer their products to customers throughout the state of Alabama through our dealership.


Business Interiors, Inc., was incorporated in December of 1986, and officially opened for business in February of 1987 with three employees and total first year sales of a modest $250,000.00.

Company Profile
Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with additional showrooms in Montgomery and Huntsville, Alabama, Business Interiors, Inc., specializes in providing sales and service of contract furnishings throughout the state of Alabama.  Business Interiors, Inc. currently employs in excess of 90 people statewide. Image will be supplied by BI, it is an image of the Kimball Chicago Showroom featuring a workstation. 

In support of our experienced sales staff, Business Interiors offers in-house design, CADD specification, project management, warehousing, and installation, for a complete offering of services to our clients.


Business Interiors is headquartered in a modern 9,000 square foot facility that is centrally located on the city of Birmingham’s historic Southside.  Business Interiors operates two other showrooms in Montgomery and Huntsville, Alabama.  Montgomery office moved to their new location in late 2006 and features Kimball and Knoll furniture. Business Interiors, Inc. operates a fleet of 16 delivery vehicles, and a total of 50,000 square feet of warehouse space.  All corporate administration is conducted from our headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.



Business Interiors, Inc.’s Administrative Team includes 46 employees in three cities (41 in Birmingham).  Included positions are: Sales, Operations, Project Management, Customer Service, Accounting and Finance.
Our Installation and Service Department has a roster of 48 full time employees, including one Operations Manager, one Scheduling Manager, and six Installation Supervisors.


In the years since our beginning in 1987, Business Interiors, Inc. has enjoyed extensive growth.  Our philosophy of total customer service and customer satisfaction has demanded the expansion of our employee roster to over ninety employees in three cities.  It is this commitment to service that mandates our ratio of support staff to sales people (3 to 1), which, according to NOPA (The National Office Products Association), is over triple the national average.
